Kenmore, WA

Beautiful, clear evening with a nice sunset after snowing all morning.  I scooted down to nearby  Kenmore to take some pictures.  My photography professor decades ago advised me not to take pictures of sunsets or ducks or ducks in sunsets.  I think he has a point but who can resist!  In my eyes, as long as it evokes a sense of delight or mystique, a sunset could be a reasonable picture. Wondering what other photographers think about sunsets.

I'm not sure how I feel about the "no parking" sign, I thought it was interesting at first but... meh...

Had to put this one in, here's my scoot.  I was inspired by a fellow in PA who rides his scooter around and takes pictures of it.  http://vespalx150.blogspot.com/  The Vespa is a great way to get around and take pictures. Light and easy to maneuver, it's become a camera case-on-wheels for me and at 70+ mpg, I'm feeling no guilt riding around taking pictures.

After reviewing this picture with the scooter in it, I realize that I have to be more careful about taking the picture, I had the time to choose what I wanted to focus on but I was in that "point and shoot" mode.  The camera focused on an area about 15 feet in front of the scooter, if I could re-do the shot, I would focus on the scooter, especially with a wide aperture, little available light, and no tripod.  I should be more deliberate about every image I take, not just the ones I think are going to be keepers.
So these make photo's # 6, 7, 8 and 9
