Roosevelt Way, University District
I limited myself to taking pictures on one block in the U-district in Seattle. What it did was enable me to focus on things I wouldn't usually notice. The subject turned out to be about accretion in the urban landscape. Here are photos # 10 to 14:

Kenmore, WA
Beautiful, clear evening with a nice sunset after snowing all morning. I scooted down to nearby Kenmore to take some pictures. My photography professor decades ago advised me not to take pictures of sunsets or ducks or ducks in sunsets. I think he has a point but who can resist! In my eyes, as long as it evokes a sense of delight or mystique, a sunset could be a reasonable picture. Wondering what other photographers think about sunsets.
After reviewing this picture with the scooter in it, I realize that I have to be more careful about taking the picture, I had the time to choose what I wanted to focus on but I was in that "point and shoot" mode. The camera focused on an area about 15 feet in front of the scooter, if I could re-do the shot, I would focus on the scooter, especially with a wide aperture, little available light, and no tripod. I should be more deliberate about every image I take, not just the ones I think are going to be keepers.
So these make photo's # 6, 7, 8 and 9
I'm not sure how I feel about the "no parking" sign, I thought it was interesting at first but... meh...
Had to put this one in, here's my scoot. I was inspired by a fellow in PA who rides his scooter around and takes pictures of it. http://vespalx150.blogspot.com/ The Vespa is a great way to get around and take pictures. Light and easy to maneuver, it's become a camera case-on-wheels for me and at 70+ mpg, I'm feeling no guilt riding around taking pictures.

Christmas day walk
We took a walk on Christmas morning in the park right across the street at St. Edward's park. She was trying out her new camera, I was trying out my new camera. Completely immersed in nature only a few hundred yards from our front door. It was serene, and meditative. Photos #4 and 5:

Serious gearhead...
I went to the International Motorcycle Show today with grand ideas of taking pictures of motorcycles. While there were some very nice motorcycles, I couldn't get any good pictures of them. Partly due to the bad lighting of the convention hall, most probably due to how I was trying to see the potential image. Failing to get any decent pictures, I tried switching my mode of seeing the world outside of motogear and started trying to see the people there. I found this person against the wall behind me and the rest of the spectators as we watched the stunt show at the other end of the room. Here's photo #3:
Gearhead...
I took this image when I went up to Bellingham, Wa. a bit over a week ago. I had about 30 minutes to go around and take pictures of the town, didn't get any good photos of the town but I came across a Triumph dealership and got stuck there oogling the motorcycles. I don't know whether it's a good thing or not but I had framed out the end of the muffler - wondering whether or not it would have been a better image with it in there. Here's photo #2:
